Case Studies

The following case studies demonstrate how Mango has worked with our clients to support their business objectives.

TrueTube

TrueTube

TrueTube was formed in 2007 by registered charity CTVC. CTVC makes ethical radio and television programs for all the major UK broadcasters including BBC, ITV and Channel 4, and receives additional funding for non-profit activities such as TrueTube from the Rank Foundation, the Garfield Weston Foundation and V. TrueTube aims to provide young people and their educators with the information they need to ask themselves and others questions and to make up their own minds on a wide range of ethical and social issues.

www.truetube.co.uk is a free, web-based educational resource which brings to life the subjects at the heart of R.E, Citizenship & PSHE, English, Geography, ICT and Media Studies using the language of today’s teenagers – short-form web-based video. In-class debates are great for developing communication skills, as well as being a lively way to address the curriculum. Discussions generated through TrueTube are productive as students are provided with relevant material from a trustworthy source. TrueTube also provides users with a free edit suite for them to make, edit and upload their own films.

TrueTube had not used a PR company before. Its launch in 2007 however attracted a good amount of press attention, and it was keen to expand on this during its re-launch in May 2008. Mango was awarded the PR contract due to its expertise in the education sector, accompanied with its friendly yet professional approach.
